Luisa in Canada!

My daughter Mariana and I embarked on a grand adventure that would forever be etched in our memories. For five glorious months, we immersed ourselves in the rich tapestry of Canadian culture, from the bustling streets of the downtown in Montreal to the breathtaking parks and trees in the island where we decided to leave.

Our journey began in the vibrant city of Montreal, where we were greeted by the friendly classmates and their enormous enthusiasm for life. We explored different nice places around the city, tried food from different countries including the famous Canadian poutine.  We found ourselves in the charming city of Montreal, where the blend of French and English cultures created a unique and captivating atmosphere. We strolled along the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal, sipping on maple syrup-infused lattes and admiring the stunning architecture.

Ile de Sœurs, affectionately known as the "Island of Sisters," holds a special place in our hearts as my daughter and I made it our home for a remarkable five months in Montreal. With its abundant trees, charming parks, and the calming presence of the Saint Laurent River just steps away, it became more than just a place to live; it became our sanctuary. Here, my daughter and I forged unforgettable memories, whether it was exploring the enchanting parks hand-in-hand, gazing at the river's endless flow, or picnicking beneath the shade of ancient trees.

The unforgettable view from our new home's expansive window. It was the end of winter, and the trees stood bare, their branches reaching out like intricate lace against the crisp, cold sky. Despite the lingering chill, the sight was strangely welcoming. The stark beauty of those leafless trees symbolized resilience, hinting at the promise of spring just around the corner. It was a daily reminder that even in the harshest of seasons, there's a quiet strength and beauty to be found in the world outside our window, a lesson we'll carry with us always.
